1. Product Overview

The JIABAIDA ZP10S036-T V1.1 is a high-current battery management system designed for eight LiFePO₄ cells or parallel cell groups connected in series.

An 8S LiFePO₄ battery pack has a nominal voltage of approximately 25.6V and reaches 29.2V when fully charged. These batteries are commonly marketed as 24V LiFePO₄ battery packs.

The BMS monitors the eight series-connected cell groups and is intended to protect the battery against abnormal charging, excessive discharge, overcurrent and short-circuit conditions. Its balancing function helps reduce voltage differences between the individual cell groups.

This model carries an advertised 100A rating and uses a same-port configuration, allowing charging and discharging through a common external negative connection. It includes a temperature sensor and features metal covers over the power electronics for additional physical protection and heat distribution.

Although the model number contains “10S,” the specification printed on this particular product states LiFePO₄ 3.2V, 8S, 100A. Listing, charger selection and installation must therefore follow the printed 8S specification.

Exact charging-current limits, protection thresholds, balancing current, temperature limits and recovery delays should be confirmed from the manufacturer’s technical documentation for this exact version.

3. Typical Connection Points

Connection Typical function
B− Battery-pack negative terminal
C− Common external negative terminal for charging and discharging
B0 Lowest cell-group or battery-negative sensing connection
B1–B7 Intermediate cell-group sensing connections
B8 or B+ Final positive sensing connection
Pack positive External positive connection, normally connected directly to battery positive
Balance connector Connects all individual cell-group sensing wires to the BMS
NTC sensor Monitors battery or BMS temperature

The exact sensing-wire sequence must be confirmed from the manufacturer’s wiring diagram. Do not identify connections only by wire colour or physical position.

4. Protection and Management Functions

The JIABAIDA 8S BMS is intended to provide essential battery-management functions, including:

  • Monitoring of eight series-connected cell groups
  • Overcharge protection
  • Over-discharge protection
  • Discharge-overcurrent protection
  • Short-circuit protection
  • Charge and discharge control through onboard MOSFETs
  • Cell balancing
  • Temperature monitoring through the supplied sensor
  • Same-port charging and discharging
  • Recovery after supported protection events

A BMS helps protect a correctly assembled battery pack, but it cannot compensate for damaged, mismatched, overheated or deeply discharged cells.

5. Suitable Applications

This BMS may be suitable for compatible 8S LiFePO₄ battery packs used in:

  • Solar-energy storage systems
  • Inverter and UPS batteries
  • Portable power systems
  • Electric scooters and mobility equipment
  • E-rickshaws and utility vehicles
  • Marine and recreational batteries
  • Robotics and automated equipment
  • Backup-power installations
  • Camping and outdoor power systems
  • DIY 25.6V LiFePO₄ battery packs
  • Lead-acid replacement batteries
  • Battery repair and replacement projects

The equipment’s continuous operating current and startup or surge current must remain within the verified capabilities of the BMS, battery cells, busbars, cables and connectors.

6. Battery and Charger Compatibility

Use this BMS only when:

  • The battery contains exactly eight series-connected LiFePO₄ cell groups.
  • Each cell group has a nominal voltage of approximately 3.2V.
  • The completed battery has a nominal voltage of approximately 25.6V.
  • The charger is designed specifically for an 8S LiFePO₄ battery.
  • The charger’s maximum output voltage does not exceed 29.2V.
  • All eight cell groups are at closely matched voltages before installation.
  • The battery cells can safely deliver the required current.
  • The load’s continuous and peak current remain within verified system limits.
  • The balance-wire sequence matches the manufacturer’s wiring diagram.
  • The temperature sensor is positioned securely against a suitable monitoring point.

Do not use this BMS with 8S lithium-ion or lithium-polymer cells rated at 3.6V or 3.7V nominal. Those chemistries require different charging and protection-voltage settings.

7. Installation Guidance

  • Measure the voltage of all eight cell groups before installation.
  • Confirm that the cells or parallel groups are connected correctly in series.
  • Identify every balance wire using the correct wiring diagram.
  • Connect B− securely to the battery-pack negative terminal.
  • Connect the sensing wires sequentially to the correct cell-group junctions.
  • Connect the final positive sensing wire to battery positive as specified.
  • Connect the load and charger through the designated same-port terminals.
  • Verify the voltage between every consecutive balance wire before inserting the connector.
  • Position the temperature sensor where it can accurately monitor the battery or BMS temperature.
  • Use busbars, cables, terminals and connectors suitable for the required current.
  • Install an appropriately rated fuse close to the battery’s positive terminal.
  • Tighten all high-current terminal connections correctly.
  • Insulate the BMS and all exposed conductive connections.
  • Mount the BMS where it cannot contact busbars, metal enclosures or other conductive parts.
  • Provide adequate ventilation and heat dissipation.

Incorrect sensing-wire order or reversed polarity can permanently damage the BMS.

8. Important Current-Rating Note

The advertised 100A BMS rating does not increase the current capability of the battery cells.

The safe current of the complete battery system is determined by the lowest-rated component, including:

  • Battery cells
  • BMS
  • Busbars or nickel strips
  • Power cables
  • Terminals and connectors
  • Fuse
  • Charger
  • Connected load

Motors, inverters and other inductive equipment may draw a startup or surge current considerably higher than their normal operating current. Confirm both continuous and peak-current requirements before selecting this BMS.

The actual sustainable current may depend on ambient temperature, airflow, cable size, terminal quality and heat dissipation. Do not assume that the advertised rating can be maintained continuously without testing the complete battery under its intended load.

9. Safety Information

  • Use only with an 8S LiFePO₄ battery pack.
  • Use a compatible LiFePO₄ charger with a maximum output of 29.2V.
  • Never reverse battery polarity.
  • Never short the BMS or battery terminals.
  • Do not connect sensing wires in the wrong sequence.
  • Do not insert the balance connector until every sensing voltage has been verified.
  • Do not exceed the verified charge or discharge-current rating.
  • Use a correctly rated fuse and suitably sized conductors.
  • Keep the BMS away from water, conductive dust and loose metal objects.
  • Do not use a burnt, cracked, corroded or unusually hot BMS.
  • Stop using the battery if any cell group becomes swollen, overheated or abnormally unbalanced.
  • Installation should be performed by someone familiar with high-current LiFePO₄ battery systems.
